"Making the Impossible, Possible"

"Making the Impossible, Possible" - Luke 1:26-38 My friends, allow me to share some impossible stories of restoration with you: 1. A spouse who has been married for 26 years, left his covenant marriage to live in an adulterous relationship. This same spouse divorced his wife against her will after revealing to her that their marriage was a mistake. This abandoned wife decided she would wait for healing and restoration and refused to give up on her spouse although she had not heard from him for five years. After much prayer, this prodigal returned home broken and humiliated. They have since remarried. 2. A husband had an affair and moved out. This same man who left his wife swearing he would never return. He swore many times that there was no love from the beginning. This same man has returned on his knees, broken, begging for forgiveness, begging for a second chance. They now enjoy a healed and restored marriage. 3. After being married for 9 years, a wife left, leaving her husband to care for the children, vowing never to return. After living in the far country for more than 4 years, this wife who divorced her husband against his will has returned after losing all her belongings. They have since been remarried. These reports sound like they are impossible. These same very prodigals who swore that they wound NEVER return. Swore that they were NEVER in love in the first place. Swore they no longer had a desire for their covenant spouse. These same wayward prodigals, and many other testimonies too numerous to mention, HAVE returned to their covenant marriage. Because what is impossible with man is possible with God. This story sounds equally impossible doesn't it? But here again we have the proof of God's Word on its reality. It appears that in these situations, the impossible has become very possible. The birth of Jesus to the Virgin Mary. God certainly does have the power to make the impossible very possible, but He does that for our benefit. Let's take a look at God's track record for a moment. Let's review some of the impossible things that God has done in the past. If we start in the Old Testament, a good place to begin would be with Abraham and Sarah. She was barren and not able to give Abraham a son. God came along and said that she would. Another impossible act was the Exodus from Egypt. Moses came and stood before the Pharaoh and said, "Let my people go!" They all laughed. Then the Plagues came and no one was laughing then. Then as the Israelites approached the Red Sea and saw the Pharaoh's army chasing them, they thought they were doomed. Then God did the impossible again and parted the Red Sea for their escape. We can even look at the life of David to see God do the impossible. No one believed that David could defeat Goliath, but he did. No one thought that this shepherd boy could be king, yet that is exactly what happened. In fact, it would be David's throne that God's Son would one day claim for Himself. My friends, NOTHING IS HARD FOR GOD! If God
